Good Vibes ROCKS Sydney!

Posted on February 23, 2011

Like any good sporting event, not even threatening thunder storms could have deterred music lovers to the Good Vibrations Festival held in Sydney 14 February 2011.

Despite the continual downpour of rain, spirits were on a high as a solid line-up of entertainers delivered a deluge of musical precipitation.

Zara Josephine* big time groover said initially the rain was disappointing although it pays to know how to have fun.

Another party goer Rene Smith* said the rain did not dampen her time at all, especially when you spend so much money, time and preparation to get here.

The best part of the event was Kelis, Nas, Bag Raiders and Ludacris said Ms Josephine as well as the cooler weather and atmosphere.

“Oh, and frozen pash vodka cocktails,” said Ms Josephine.

The best highlights for Ms Smith were seeing and hearing acts live on stage like The Friendly Fires, Faithless and Erykah Badu.

“I love the buzz and crazy antics of the crowd,” said Ms Smith

Australia is known for their music festival worldwide attracting  people who desire to hear a collaboration of their favourite music artist, it allows people to be who they are without any prejudice and to live for that day in the freedom of music.

Sharing in this reflection is Ms Smith who said festivals are a great environment for people to come together with the same cause and enjoy a unique experience that cannot be duplicated.

Ms Josephine said she feels the reason why the festivals are so popular in Australia is the notion of its gorgeous weather and the people are generally laid-back.

Although numbers were down on previous years due to major international acts like Cee Lo Green cancelling, the festival was still rated a major success and now it is a waiting game to see who is on the line-up for 2012.
